Who is attending practice on Saturday? Does anyone have a REALLY cheap helmet I could buy? Are there loaners there? If so, what are the chances I won't get there in time to rent one, lol.

They have loaner helmets, just let them know you need one when you register. I don't think I've seen them run out, not too many people need them anyway.

I do have an open face helmet that I used... not very many times, bought it for autocross. Still have it and the carrying bag.

Lots of great questions from those wanting to come out for the first time. The process is very user friendly, so plan on learning alot and realizing a new obsession. The helmets are easy to get, as all you need to do is leave your license with them (free). The novice school is very helpful. I did it twice when I started two years ago. I look forward to seeing all of you out there. I will be sharing the STi with a high school buddy of mine. He has never autocrossed either, so he will have lots to learn. We will see how it goes.

well i sucked pretty bad and i didnt know how really worn out my suspension and tires are till i ran. my best was 38.XX i think i can do a lot better. most of all i need tires. i had a blast and am hooked.

I can't imagine them doing very well. Weight is probably the single biggest factor when it comes to autocross and they certainly don't have that on their side. Not sure what class they're in. I tried to look it up but my computer just couldn't handle the massive pdf file.

That was a buddy of mine the car is BRAND new. The new Evo looked solid, he was still trying to get the hang of autox as it was his first one and the first time driving the car hard. I'm think that they would be in AS but he wants to mod it to run in STU

Yeah, the Evo X was definitely nice to see out there. I rode with him for his last lap, and I was quite impressed with the stability. But I wasn't surprised, considering everything that I have read about it. I felt that I probably could have gotten I a 76.XXX with it, which says alot about the car in stock form. I really liked the course Sunday. Hopefully, Brent and I will do well at the Subaru Challenge on November 1st. His car is running great, but we will probably be using new tires that I am about to buy.

I would have definitely rode with you Rome. I know that your 79.349 wasn't clean, but that is a solid time for someone that is so new to this. Ron Assee has been at this for a while and your raw time was only a few seconds off of his. Brent and I look forward to giving our best shot at the Subie Challenge. We would need a miracle to beat Kolin Rankin (crazy fast) and some of the other guys (fast), but we should do alot better than last year. We got rained out, but I believe that I could have made it to the Superstar Challenge if my 3rd and 4th were dry runs. Since then, I have improved alot, so I am particularly hopeful this year. Brent will be tough enough for me. He was way off his game this weekend, but trust me, the boy can drive. I look forward to seeing you in Gainesville.

In fact the only person with a legit time in STS was Glenns Honda. Laslos Honda from HS is comming to STS next year and hes just 8/10's off your best time stock.

Evo school is in 20 days we'll see what I can bring after that

I don't know anything about Billy's car, but Laslo Kis will be a good addition to the STS field. Billy is capable of laying down some impressive times, but I am confident that it would take him a while to catch onto the AWD's pros/cons. His good day vs my bad day could surely result in me losing to him, but good day vs good day (in an AWD), I should win. But this ia all hypothetical BS until he gets the chance to try.

I am still trying to figure out how to drive with the power I have, but I must admit that Brent's car makes me want to be Stage II.

But I do have my bike for a power fix. It has about 140 rwhp which is good for low 10's at the strip.
