with your mph you should atleast beable to hit a low 14 high 13.get some tires on that thing i know its fast.that 2.4 60 isnt helping you at all though

not saying its the end all be all, but to run a 13.5@94mph with a 2700lbs car is very possible. i plugged the info into dragtimes.com little chart thing and you only need 198HP to the flywheel to get that time. my car mke 200whp.
like i said that chart isnt the end all be all.

heres the problem with the MINI, its drive by wire, so you have lag betweeen the time you hit the pedal and the motor responding. so if you launch with the rps too high you spin like crazy, and if they are too low, your on your face. and pedaling or slipping the car doesnt help because of the DV on the MINI is a butterfly valve, and sucks ass for trying to feather the damn thing.

if you ran a constant 14.9, then taking a second and a half off is not going to happen with better tires. Get some DR's and launch at 6k, you might get there. But 13.5 is just not likely. Your 2.4 60' can come down to about 2.0-2.2 on a great launch. But trapping 15mph more... not gonna happen bro.

yea i know, not stressing about it. my car isnt a good drag car anyhow, it likes the turns better.
atleast there i can drive with my windows down, instead of sweating to death waiting in line.

There is a GTI from forge there that i sold my DR's to, he ran a 13.6@101.xx, 2.0 60ft, launching at 5500rpm and hooking lol. He has all the same shit as me and my mph was 98 with 2.25 60ft, I know if I went there with DR's ill get pretty close to that but I cant launch at 5500 I can only get to 3000rpm with DSG. I'm not saying my car is a mid 13 but with the information at hand, I can say that my car is in the 13s.

Yes, but a few things... you're talking 1/2 a second not 1 1/2 seconds and you have like 98-99mph trap vs 94 which is substantial. Something seems a bit wrong, I thought stock mini s' did like 92 or 93mph?

Sounds like working the launch should help though, if you get that 60ft down you'll be doin good.

My mph went down a few too, I think to like a 96. But I cant find my slips for that, nor remember that well. I think I threw them out cause I didn't like them. hehe
