Me and Mike started at 7:30am and went riding down Alico. Went to a spot he used to go to a while back... a little homemade track. It was pretty sweet.

Here's some pics.

My bike with the photo op. You can see some birms in the background.

Here's a couple birms.

Here's Mike hittin one on his YZ 250.

Damage

I... once again... somehow managed to break my clutch perch. This is the third one broken... in a total of 4 rides.

While Mike was laughing at my perch... his bike which was half-assed balanced in some dirt... took a plunge to the left. Snapped the clutch lever.:rofl1:

Day ended early due to piece of shit clutch lever/perches.. so we headed back only to notice Mike's rear tire completely flat.

All in all I'd say it was a successful few hours of riding. Went to a place I've never been before and bike is not impounded. All is well.

*Here's some coordinates of the makeshift track for you to Google Earth it.

well sounds like yall had fun even though there was some damage lol.

can you upgrade that shit? i mean if you've broken the same part 3 or 4 times there is obviously a problem lol

oh yall were right off the canal roads behind my neighborhood. i've taken the rover back there before. good shit.

Unfortunately there isn't really. I've tried loosening the perch so it spins on the handlebars rather than break on impact... no help. They're only $10 but it kills the riding day.

Where do you live? Off Briarcliff or Fiddlesticks?

i live on the other side of fiddlesticks, but i fish some of the lakes really close to that side so i can hear yall riding when i'm in town. i drive back there alot when i'm home to just dick around in sugar sand or go fishing.

well if i were you i'd buy 2 or 3 more of the part and keep them on you and the tools when you ride, that way you can fix it and keep going and only kill an hour rather than the whole day.

damn i want a dirt bike again. but i'll probably end up buying a Supermoto instead. I have a full on race track on the property next to me but just have my friends little TTR 125 and it doesnt have the balls for a 10" double let alone a 50" one.

Supermoto is pretty sweet, but it's just not the same. When you're rippin on a 125 or 250 2 stroke, with instant powerbands, going around berms puttin you sideways, whoops throwin you all over the place and shit. It's awesome.

And plus, if you fall off a dirt bike it hurts a little. Fall off a supermoto going 50 mph sideways on a road... you and your bike are in some serious shit lol.

falling isn't that bad when riding SM. i ride my KLX with full knobbies on like a SM bike.... i've dropped it a couple times. if you're wearing the correct gear you should come out ok, esp in a low side.

next time you guys go ride let me know and i'll join in possibl with a couple other friends. i've got a buddy that has a DRZ E model, DRZ SM 470 stroker motor, and a CRF250R and he loves to ride on the weekends, esp Sundays. we all live in the park. if you wanna hit up some big jumps etc there are some the local kids built behind my house..... but they are big!

where at?? i'd like to learn how to jump, haven't really had a chance yet. head down (i think ) Alico center drive or something like that... there is a boat lift place right on the corner.... go straight back to the woods. i don't know if it's still there or not, i haven't heard the kids back there for a while. i used to cut through there all the time but some asshole keeps blocking the path and i haven't been able to talk my buddy into bringing his tractor back over. this what we did last time he blocked the trails, it was pretty funny doing this in a residental neighborhood in the middle of the day with all kinds of people watching us.

buy some ASV levers. supposedly unbreakable and they fold when you drop the bike.

I would but they're like $120 a pair. I'd have to break 12 levers/perches to spend $120. Plus, I just loosened the perch and had no trouble this last ride so i think I'm good.

It's not much of a track, a fun little riding spot with some birms. The actual track is over grown with branches and the jumps are eroded. Although, we could shovel some of the sugar sand out of the berms to make them do-able. lol

EDIT: Bad-ass quad btw!
