it was a great time. i try to go up there a few times a year. if you've never been it's a must. it's something like 586,000 acres and if you're tagged it's all rideable.

nice. klx400 4-strokes are pretty sweet. must be nice to ride on the road when you need to, but the tires get eaten up quickly. I'm still too noobie to hit the tougher trails, but i'm gettin there. 5'5" height is killin me lol

oh yeah 5'5 does fuck you a bit. i'm 6'6 and that's not great either unless you own a KTM that is designed by giants.

riding on the road does tear up the tires but Dunlop has that covered with the D606's. you can squeez almost 4,000 miles out of a set if ride like a wuss. i get about 1,500 out of mine but being able to ride on the street makes up for it. i'm actually leaving now to head out aroundthe park for a few min to see what has changed, then go to Brookshire to see my mom, hit up the trail on 82 from Daniels to Alabama, then jump back onto 82 and go to my buddy's house half way between daniels and sr29 on 82.

BTW tougher trails aren't that hard.... they just kick the crap outta you. you have to realize that you can't go very fast. and if you do this is what happens: http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/9135/dscn1022at0.th.jpg (http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscn1022at0.jpg)

2 broken toes and one toe that still hurts like hell a few months later.

notice the tree on the right at the bottom.... that mark was from my foot being smashed between the tree and my foot peg.

yeah that looks like it hurt quite a bit lol. the worst par about being short is that if i stop short, i pretty much have no chance of balancing so i either fly forward or fall to the side.

just last week i was riding around by my house, decided to gun it through some tall grass hit a divot or something at the top of 2nd gear, started endoing. tried pulling myself back onto the seat and off my handlebars and i mistakingly gripped my front brakes... as you can imagine, i was soon rocketed torward the ground. This is all i can remember. After that I was kneeling next to my bike with no helmet on. My brother told me as soon as i hit the ground, the helmet flew off, i bounced up, walked to my bike and fell again.

Only damage to the bike is a hole in the seat cover from a stick that almost hit my leg. Only damage to myself is my hip which is still killing me... most likely hit the handlebars.

However... no broken bones so far! So I think i'm doin alright! lol... although... my hip may have a hairline fracture.. but that doesn't count in my book.
