Heres a short vid of me and my brother at that place in the Cape.

Just a shallow mud hole we were having fun in, the mud surrounding the water was really thick and nasty, perfect. Thought some of you might enjoy seeing it.

lol, I'm 15 minutes from c&b and 20 minutes from that spot. For once I can say I'm glad I live in bum-fuck.

i just used google maps. i have yet to transfer all my old waypoints from my last laptop to my new one.

i'm not sure if i'll make it out there or not. got a shitload of stuff to do when i get back. i got invited to go hog hunting in arcadia, which takes priority over mud lol so when i figure out wtf i'm doing the week i'm home i'll let you know

Is it pretty dry out there? I wouldnt mind bringing out the 4runner...especially since its A LOT closer than all the other stuff in BFE. But if there is a bunch of deep water or thick mud that you have to get through first, I dont wanna go out and just end up getting pulled out of everything. 2wd power!

People usually dont get in trouble for going out there anymore do they? I cant have any problems with the po po or I'll be SOL.

I was checking out some fishing spots in that area (off old burnt store). I actually was stuck in some sugar sand in a 2wd pickup when an FWC officer pulled up. He didn't hastle me for being there but just wanted to know if I caught any fish and if he could see them. I didn't have any so I asked if he could winch me out, which he did.

I think it's pretty safe out there, law wise but I have heard some stories of them cracking down on people going to that area.

aero, its pretty dry out there now. There are some wet areas but you can get around them pretty easily.

As far as cops Im not sure, I know the Cape PD has four wheelers but Im pretty sure they only do a crackdown like once or twice a year.

Just got my rear bumper painted and on the truck, so it needs to get dirty quick so it can match the rest of the truck.

I think this time we are bring a small grill out there and grilling up some lunch. So probably like 10 or so.

that sounds really good, i'll know later in the week. like thursday or so if i can go. I'd like to bring my dog out there in the rover, she'd love it. i took her offroading for about half hour this morning by some power lines and she thought it was fun. but i've got 2 rover friends who may join us if possible. 1 just got his license and doesnt know how to drive his disco 1 yet (he cant bring it, parents wont let him just yet :rofl1:) and the other guy i guess is a fire fighter in capecoral who just bought a 2003 disco with SLS and ACE. he pm,ed me on the LR forums and i'm trying to get him to come out to a meet with us or go offroading so he can learn his truck and meet us.

regardless, i think we can make this shallow little spot fun for a few hours. its always nice just to sit around in the middle of nowhere with friends, cars, and god willing, the florida heat. (i'm gonna be pissed if i come home to a cold front, its 37 degrees here right now :thumbdown:)

you know...if we bring some shovels...we could try and make things a bit more difficult in one area if a few people feel like digging some alternating pits to show off some flex....but thats some work lol.
