I believe the cost should be around $40-50, that's what we were charging back when I was working at Toyota. I've never been able to tell a difference between air and nitrogen inflated tires for normal driving but since the pressure in nitrogen doesn't change much when the tires get hot I can how it might be useful for auto-x or track day stuff.

If you use OEM nitrogen it works much better than just plain nitrogen.

I can put in some air that's like 80% nitrogen for like $5, if you want. Much better deal IMO.

I had nitrogen (still have them if you buy my rims/tires ). I didn't really feel a difference but thats not why you do it.

the nitrogen particles are much bigger then just air/oxygen and therefore you don't lose nearly as much tire pressure over a couple weeks/months.

plus I got it for free so I don't know the cost

crap.....!! doesn't do anything. Take it from a PRO. Nitrogen is really based for snowbirds whom come down every six months and have flat tires. With Nitrogen they don't have to worry about that. Most of us adjust air pressure when at the track or Auto X anyway.

Doesn't help your tires stay inflated. My work truck had nitrogen filled tires and in the first week my back tires needed to be filled.

I carry nitrogen on my truck so I kept filling them, week after week after week, until finally I realized my tank was empty.

I charged up my tank (like $15) and stopped at Hess and filled my tires with compressed air. They didn't need to be filled again for over a month.

They say that it's "lighter" than air so it gives you better gas mileage. This is total BS. Air is about %75 nitrogen, therefore pure Nitrogen is BARELY lighter than air. Even if you took an entire pound of rotational mass out of each tire, you wouldn't really get a noticeable difference in gas mileage.

Atomically speaking, nitrogen's mass is lighter than air over all. Chemistry at it's best to fool the stereotypical American population of morons.

ay, you may as well fill your tires up with helium...

your tires will be much lighter and can make about 300% more hp over stock!!!!!!!

If you were having that problem, I'd suggest getting your valve stems checked and your tires. Possibly have the tires reseated because you have more of an issue than using air or nitrogen.
