Get out there man! I've done atv wheeling in the snow. It's fun as hell. I like going over the shallow water holes that are covered in ice. It kind of pops under you. Just have to be sure how deep the water is underneath.

Well getting pictures of your rig in situations that look legit but really aren't is what it's all about.... right

so do you acually like to go offroading or go out to take pics?

uhh... i'd much rather prefer to spend the day offroading than 20 minutes taking pictures faking it... but considering most of the good trails in alabama where you could spend the day at are 2-3 hours away in birmingham or in NE georgia, i'm not driving that far to wheel by myself.

auburn blows around campus to offroad, so all i really got is pics and a few "trails" that are around 250-300yards long.

Danny and I are going to do a little pre-gaming off del prado extension a little earlier in the day (maybe around 11ish) and then heading to cool & brown. Should be fun.

Anyone know about how much a shop would charge to put on 4 shocks and who would do it? I don't have time to do it tomorrow because I have to work but I want it done for Sunday.

Where do you go in at?

Its behind an under construction housing development just west of the Cape Coral arch sign thing. It's tough to find the entrance to the trail but it snakes all the way to US 41 I believe.

EDIT: This should give you an idea.

Well I'm not gonna have the new shocks on by till Tuesday. Stupid places wanna charge an arm and a leg to get it done today. I'll just do it later when I get some time. Not gonna let it ruin my fun though.

Good to hear.
I'm gonna be running on no radius arm bushing on the drivers side. Every time I hit the brake it sounds like a hammer hits the bottom of my truck. I'm ordering new ones today.

Shit, I was checking out the del prado ext. spot right after work. I get done and I ran out of gas so I coast into the station. It shuts off and I go to start it and the key won't turn for anything. I guess the wheel locked in a shit way that it absolutely will not let the key turn.

I left it at the gas station and got a ride home. I think it may be SOL for this weekend because I have no idea how to get the key to turn.

So pretty epic day for me. I did some wheeling and now I have to figure out why my truck is overheating. I think it's the fan clutch. Besides that though I rode around in the back of this bigass lifted chevy all day running through the middle of the hole. I got muddy as hell but it was awesome. There was also a pretty good fight. One dude ended up with a split brow and I'm sure he'll have a black eye tomorrow. I had a blast.

Now to go outside and figure out what's wrong with the truck.:(

Overheating issue is solved. Seems I got my fan all muddied up and it wasn't able to spin fast enough. I cleaned it off and all is good now. I think I have a new exhaust leak now though. I know I slammed into some of the holes pretty good. Should be fun to troubleshoot everything tomorrow.

fans hate mud/water. lol sounds like you need to run some seafoam through your vac line to blow some smoke and find those leaks.

vr_unreality
January 18th, 2009, 10:14 PM
haha. too bad I just seafoamed it last month. It better not blow too much smoke. Damn mud gets everywhere. lol

AminalPlanet
January 18th, 2009, 10:16 PM
haha well then you'd better pressure wash or at least get under the truck and hose all the mudd off of the exhaust pipes, you have any parts of pipe rusted through yet?

Actually the pipe isn't in that bad of shape. I'm gonna clean the undercarriage tomorrow and see what's up. I think I may have come down on a rock or something and ripped a hole. I think my other leak is just the donut between the manifold and the pipe.
