one of the usuals on one of the Land Rover forums from Melbourne, Australia got all of his land rover club to chip in and help with the disaster cleanup effort as a result of the fires in Australia this past week. Definitely a stand up thing to do by a club. Made me think it may be something we would like to do if/when we get hit by another hurricane. We've got vehicles, tools, and skills that alot of people do not have, we might as well use them to help out every now and then.

I have a truck, and would be willing to help as well. I cruised into Deep Creek after Charley and helped everyone I could.

My old Jeep club did the same thing in Boynton a few years ago. As the hurricane was dying down, we all went out and cleared roads & stuff for EMS vehicles. Had to drive over a hugeass tree to get out of my devolopment, then a tow strap pull later it was all clear.
