Thinking about getting a $300 set of swaybars for the alero. The car has 40,000 miles on it and the springs and shocks are great, rather stiff (factory sport option). Just wanting to get some opinion's on how well just sway bars will control body roll. Im also going to fit 18in rims in place of the factory 15s (got a super deal on them)

Does the car come with any from stock?

I would imagine there is a front one... not sure about the rear. If there is a rear one, it'll probably be pretty puny or hollow.

When I added a rear sway to my accord, the difference was night and day. Easily one of the best mods I did. Even something such as switching lanes on the highway you could feel it a little, on the autocross course... amazing especially on something like the slalom where after a curve or two, the body roll is just going to be insane without one.

IMO on the accord it was best to keep the front one stock and then upgrade the rear one. It was obviously and understeering car to begin with, but the addition of the rear sway put it more neutral. If I added a front one, the front may have been too stiff and it would have returned to more of an understeering car. Of course, this was a DD as well as an autocross car, so had I switched up the suspension a little and added r-compounds, I am sure a front one would have done justice.

Cliffs notes: sway bar = gooood

Every car i've had I put sway bars on, makes a big difference. It will be solely up to you whether or not it's worth the cost.

Ya the car has a front and rear bar from the factory. I can't seem to find a place that only sells a rear bar. The bars are 136 each but they don't have any more of the rear only packaging. I think the sways, new wheel and tire, and strut tower bars will firm it up a bit.
