DEAD HOOKERS 10

.
For those of you not familiar with this these events we have, we rent the track out and have open test and tune, grudge racing, and heads up events. We normally cap the race at 80 cars so you can get as many passes as you want. It's drag radials and slicks only so the track prep stays excellent. These events mainly consist of street/strip cars but you can see anything out there from a stock car with drag radials to a full blown dragster!

That shootout is going to be good. June night, the track will be greasy, and some of those higher powered cars will be coming out soft, and running it the fuck out on the big end. Should even up the field, and make for some good heads up racing.

Anthony - take your own cans and buy fuel at the Sunoco in PC or the station at the corner of 41 and Burnt Store. The $ difference far outweighs the cost of driving there.

I might tow the camaro up to this one. Of course, it has to not only be put back together, it has to not be broke yet.....

I deff wont be running the 96, I got a STERN warning about getting atleast a roll bar.

That is unless shagwell cen hook a brotha up with a 6 point steel job:thumbup:

Otherwise, I'll probably be running the LT1 for some shakedown passes.

Possibly. Time is my biggest enemy. Guessing you're going to want to get that 8.8 under that LTjuan soon too, huh? - I updated the N2S build thread on Robert's '68, check out the tq arm.

It's around $7 per gallon at 41 and Burnt Store; I'd have to check my cans, but I believe it's 110. I wouldn't buy too much more than you're going to use, it does have a shelf life.

I'm there for sure.
Doubt I'll spray nitrous for the event, so I probably won't do the shootout.
If I do decided to hit the giggle gas, then I'm in the shootout for sure.... we'll see.....

Or could be the fact they didnt like you running in a white T-Shirt, Flip Flops and no helmet, :rofl1:

you could always paint the car again, that was classic.

I can only pull one trailer at a time......easy on the gogo juice.

The krylon flat black is pimp. Honestly, the car looks good flat black and the story behind it was rather funny. The couple moisture haze spots make it legit.

I'me done dealing with it. I'm going to put a 6 point in it until I decide if I'm going to keep it or not. We're taking the Camaro for this event.

Be sure to take some vids, my wife will be making some passes too!

Have they said anything to you?

I ran 11.2s, 10.89s, 10.5's, and finally 9.9 before ANYTHING was ever said to me. That was just a "hey man you need to get a cage in that thing".

The one time that I got in and out of it three times and ran a 10.4 @ only 120 and was all over the track got me a pretty stiff warning.

The last runday sunday that I ran the car at, I got the "Official warning": "Cage, Fire Jacket, NEXT TIME!"

They are usually pretty lenient at the DH events,I'm pretty sure they just know the car now (no matter what color it is, lol)

As I noted on n2s; I will have the enclosed trailer up there, thus full tools, floor jack/stands, generator, compressor, etc if anyone needs. If some one breaks and Robert does not, I can drag them back this direction for fuel $.

Good shit!:SolidStraight:

BTW, Evil post count man!

I also may take you up on the control arms. I need to do A LOT of suspension work, but most will have to wait until after DH. Anything I can do in the mean time should help.

I hadn't noticed that yesterday when I posted, good stuff.

Like I said on the arms, they're nothing fancy but they will get the job done. If you want them, just come swap them for yours. I won't need them again, they're only on there to keep it move-able.

Good to know. Something tells me I will be requiring your services.

Paid, and got my spot, hopefully I get some free time to dial in my tune some more before the event. Still on a super conservative tune.

Now I know this is a long shot, but I don't suppose anybody knows of any slicks I might be able to borrow for the event no?

Anthony
June 8th, 2009, 01:44 PM
its slicks or drag radial dave,if im not mistaken you had some mickeys on?

JP
June 8th, 2009, 02:09 PM
Slicks or DR's only(excluding AWD vehicles).

As long as Robert's isn't broke then someone else could be towed back if need be. I've got some tricks up my sleeve to see if I can get a 1.4x 60' out of his as it sits, we're close now. The TKO and stock ds are going to start hating me soon; that thing hits hard off the 2-step.

I will be driving the conversion van up, so there will likely be a couple open seats if anyone needs as well.

Slow2v has 2 sets of 26x1ox15 et drags for sale. One is practically brand new for somewhere in the 150 ball park, and another set for quite a bit less (they also have quite a bit less life on them)
