I put in a new fuel pump on Saturday as my 20 year old stock one was getting quite tired. With all the extra fuel my tune is completely shot. I did a good bit of datalogging today trying to fix it and that got me thinking... If I've got time increments, and RPMs, and a gear calculator I should be able to calculate very accurate 0-60 and 0-100 times, even come up with a reasonable estimate of a 1/4 mile time.
So I went out and datalogged a 0-115 run. Not to sound like a ricer, but it certainly wasn't a great run, and the tune was worse than I thought, and I spun really bad, and then I bogged, and I had a full tank of gas, and.... you get the idea. Here's what I came up with:
0-60: 4.75
0-100: 11.21
I attached the txt file if anyone wants to look at it. You can see where it was spinning and I had to back off for the tires to catch, then you can see where it's missing a few times at higher rpms and I'm actually losing speed while on the gas. Maybe it's just me, but I find this stuff really interesting. Toward the end you can see time and speed and get a pretty good idea where the 1/4 would be, somewhere in here I'm guessing...
13.133 109.95
13.274 108.55
13.426 109.83
13.555 111.28
13.688 109.23
13.839 110.71
13.978 111.61
14.115 112.75
I'm gonna do it again in a few days with less weight and a better tune, hopefully I see some significant improvements.
