I recently put headers on the GTO. I already had muffler deletes...
The car is too loud. I have the 4th of July week off and would like to do some exhaust shopping. I have a few options in mind.
1. Squeeze a muffler into my current axle back.
2. Build a complete new axle back with mufflers.
3. Build a complete 3" catback exhaust with H pipe and muffers.
My car currently goes from 1.75" headers to 3" collectors to 3" mid pipes to stock 2.5" pipe with resonator to 3" axle back muffler deletes to 4" single walled tips.
For the mufflers i'm thinking Flowmaster 40 series or spintech or ????
Not looking for stainless those. Anyone have any connections that can do this on the cheap, but not look like shit? I'd prefer mandrel bends.
Exhaust as it is now...

I have heard spintech on one other car, and thought it had a great sound, but loud. Flowmaster's always sound to "trucky" to me.
Personally if you are looking for a quieter muffler, I would think about Magnaflow. Borla also has a good sound, but will be slightly louder.

Anything will be quieter than what i have now. Magnaflow would be too quiet. I'll keep looking through the sound clips on ls1gto.com
Here are the three options i want quotes on...

I had the mufflers off for almost 2 years and i was happy. The headers have pushed it slightly too loud. I'm trying to cut back on the loudness in the 1000 to 3000 rpm cruising range. I still want it loud as Fxxx at WOT

Tag....
If its too loud your too old. :D
But seriously, like said before, Magnaflows mufflers are quiet, and open up at WOT.
Also I hear the Corsa touring isnt too loud, but the Sport screams.

Dynomax is not as quiet as the Magna, and will sound great at WOT as well.
CoreTA has Magnaflow on his car ... I wouldn't call it quiet at all.
