Race?

Anyone with a bike wanna set up a race at one of the meets or something? Only bike I've ever raced was my buddy's Triumph Daytona 675 Triple, and I won by a good amount.

Obviously 600's are preferred, but if someone with a liter wants to race, I'm down.

you really don't like bikes do you? If the road is clear and both people know the risks it's all on them what happens. Motorcycles are inherently more dangerous than cars. The people that choose to ride them know this risk.

2 years ago i had my best friend die on his bike. they said by the tire marks he was going over 100mph and a lowboy truck turn out in front of him. i just don't want anyone to get hurt.

You just seem to post negative a lot in the bike threads. Like I said it's the risk of owning the bike. I feel bad for those that die but that's what you have to consider with each choice you make on a bike. If you're gonna race it on the street go out to a desolate road. You can never eliminate all the variables, but you can eliminate a lot of them. You just have to be smart about it.

Either way. Ross if you race on the street don't be stupid. I've done it before and would do it again if I still had a bike. I'd just hate to see anyone hurt or killed.

Obviously I'm not going to try to set up some races on 41 in between daniels and gladiolus at 6pm while it's raining.... a race on a bike is no less dangerous than a race with cars imo. When you're hitting speeds in excess of 120+ mph, if you're in a car and lose control... you're fucked. If you're on a bike and lose control, you're fucked.

Sweet! I'd just like to see where my R6 stands. We can also go on that long road off alico or the commerce park off treeline... just to get in and get out.

I have a friend with a Kawi ZX10-R with a PCIII and others. He most likely wont race because it will be a waste of his time and he actually doesn't race or do stupid shit much.

A race with curves would be awesome, but there aren't many curvy roads nearby that aren't covered in dust/gravel. It would most likely be just a straight drag race.

Are you just joking or does everyone really think that drag racing a motorcycle is insanely dangerous?? Lol! As long as you go somewhere cleared out, I honestly can't possibly see anything bad happening... unless your engine explodes inbetween your legs... that could pose as a problem.

MCL0VIN- You mean the streatch of Summerlin going out to the beach. That wouldn't be too bad. I was thinking of the streatch of treeline between Daniels and Colonial. There is a clean two lane (divide 4 lane) straight section thats pretty long and at night it's deserted. Either place we go we have to make sure to do a slow run to scope for Police and stuff in the road.

The back of my house is behind the trees that line the side of summerlin. I hear bikes racing down it all the time.

you should hold up very well with a 600 the turbo mustang ran his brother on a 600 like 2 or 3 days before he ran you and was right next to him. i have no problem hanging with them. depending on what is done to the bike and how well the rider is.
but i would love to see the race so i think all the bikes should cruse down to Naples on Friday:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

we usually try to show up at around 9:30 or 10 usually there is already quite a few people already there.
