View Full Version : 3000gt vr4 baseline numbers

just wanted to share my baseline runs
as you can see I have issues after 4500rpms, graph starts to get jumpy and sniffer said the car is running rich so im losing spark and im trying to fix this issue
first base pull @10psi 3rd gear

233hp@6200rpm and 240ft lbs@3100rpm

2nd pull @10psi 3rd gear little better numbers but still low

3rd base pull 3rd gear @15psi to 4250rpm spark breaks up at 4500 so stopped pull at 4250

not really sure, do they run in anything else besides 3rd and 4th? It was my first time to a dyno so im learning.

i was going to say there making you dyno numbers fucked up,the dyno should always be pulled in the cars gear that offers a 1.1 ratio,which is usually 4th on a 5 spd car

how will it affect numbers when done in 3rd?

The numbres will be slightly lower in third. Just like if nothing is done to a car but a gear swap. Steeper gears (like 4,10s instead of 3.42's) will slightly lower the numbers.

BTW, nice saleen wheels!

so im getting slightly lower numbers because im in 3rd thats good to know, i still have to fix the spark loss after 4500 to smooth out the graph

I this the 3000gt at Relentless right now? lol

I did the runs at relentless yes but its not the 3000gt your thinking of thats white mine is green

awesome start. Negrodamus on this board had one with just upgraded SMIC's, full turbo back, intake, and intercooler pipe ended up being very quick.

Just make sure you keep your motor in good condition!

just broke 80k miles has alot of new stuff installed, i think a ecu is next something is killing spark and its the only thing not changed on the ignition side

i've had many people say good things about them, they do make the car.
