I have driven one on our autocross track a few times. They are great to drive, and they are very fast. I don't know about how they would hold up in a drag race, but I'm sure they would do well in any race that involved use of the steering wheel.

Not saying you don't have to steer (i.e. that vid of the supra that somone will inevitibaly post) but please don't compare the drag to autox/or time attack, at least when it comes to steering input.

pinks doesnt show shit.id love to see either of you jump in a 9 second car and not put it into a wall.ever had your car wave back and forth at over 100mph? ever had the front tires come off the ground and had to keep it out of the wall?
inevitably this will turn into a huge thread about being a real driver and how drag racing is gay.when either of you have tried driving something rwd that atleast does 11's then please come back and talk about it.you wont catch me saying anything bad about autocross, its just not what my car is setup for

Fuck Lotus. I worked on one (just doing tires) and took it around Estero (naturally) to feel out the ride and alignment.
First off, bitch and a half to get in. Fuck that shit.
2 - Transmission feels like its gonna come out in your hand (and no shit I know its set up for racing)
3 - I'm sorry, if I'm paying 60+ for a car, it better have real godamn emblems instead of stickers.
BUT -
It was fun as hell, very responsive, I'd love the chance on a track with one, but theres no amount of money you could pay me to own one.

Wet grass wasn't a cake walk it shows him losing it but the rest of the video you don't see him adjusting mid turn or anything, that and sliding then face raping the evo = good driver.

I'll go run the local touge in the dry with my 250whp car and you watch my steering and see how much steering correction it takes. Now multiply the speed by 3, add 640 more hp, and a wet road/grass and you tell me he's not working his ass of inside that car.
Watch the very first scene in the vid. I've done that back and forth thing at autox and it's far from easy to recover from, even in the dry.

You seem to miss the fact that when hes sliding hes coming out of it pretty straight and still on his line. Good suspension + good drive = little correction. Its not that hes not doing work, but that for what hes driving and in what conditions especially hes not losing it every turn. I'll take you through a damp parking lot with my car and show you what a handful it can be.
I get the impression you think I'm disagreeing with you on the amount of work it to drive a track car vs drag car.

same car to same car, yes it's a lot harder to turn it. the more turns the more work.
drag racing my teg is fucking boring, doesn't really take any effort after the launch. road racing is arguably less intense, and then autocross being the most intense as far as steering input an whatnot. the tighter the turns, the more steering input and corrections will be needed.
