You have an mk3 supra...

Have you ever replaced the headgasket/headstuds? They are notorious for blowing headgaskets, and if you don't have a coolant leak that could be the cause.

check your oil/coolant and see it their mixing together. if not go get some liquid dye and see where its leaking

Eeeek, yup it's probably BHG time for you.

Be prepared to buy an HKS mhg and ARP head studs and have your head machined flat so this won't happen again. :)

haha yeah, head gaskets are one of the biggest problems yet one of the easiest to diagnose. check your oil cap and dip stick and be prepared for some caramel filling.

you can still have a BHG, or beginnings of one, without having the most obvious systems.

you can get a compression and leak down test and see what's up...

go over to Roys, and see what he can do for you. Get a compression check and go from there. Are you blowing any smoke- WOT or deceleration, puffs, or steady stream etc...

sounds like you need to ditch the motor and put a lsx in there. JFWY.

okay. do you want to give me an ls1? lol.

edit: when i start up i puff out some blue smoke and when i accelerate hard i think i do. at least from what my friends have told me.

I have a spare block, crank, and some other shit just taking up space.

Any news about your car yet? You may be able to hit up Moss at school as he is there most of the summer.

Like everyone else, i say BHG.... i think i have a toyota factory manual in pdf for the GA/MA/JZ70 , as well as a pdf on what to torque everything down to. PM if you think youll be doing this yourself and would like it.

well if i do decide to pull the engine out and get a new one, i may need that book. but in the meantime i would also need a shop or a garage that i can do it in cuz its "against the rules" to work on my car in my community driveway. so does anybody have any suggestions there?

The TSRM recommends torque on the headbolts to be like 56 ft/lbs. do NOT use that. You need to use at least 70-75ft/lbs, and of course, do it in passes....

89, I have a compression testing kit. Find out what the OE specs should be. If your serious, my kit is in my tool chest at another shop, but I'll swing by and get it tomorrow and can meet up with you Sunday sometime before I go to 02silverados to lend a hand pulling a motor.

Lemme know before midnight.

He should be between 160-180psi, with no more than 15psi variance between cylinders.
