I picked up a small black chevy off craigslist a few months back... and after 3 months at the damn machine shop i got it back. Bored .030 over, decked, new freeze plugs, oil galley plugs, and cam bearings. Ready for a fresh top and bottom end! Here she is! Ill be painting her when i get back from Florida.

What are the plans for it (rotating assembly, heads, cam, etc)?

as of yet i am still undecided for the most part, id like to go with some kind of scat bottom end kit, and a trickflow topend. but still in the research phase. my goal is 400 HP at the wheels N/A.

With that goal I'm guessing you will be utilizing the hyd roller? The RHS(formerly Topline) heads are very good, especially for the $. My 355 bottom end is a twin to that, but just a fully/properly prepped stock cast crank, good 4340 h-beam rods and some zero deck flat-top pistons. With the 200cc Toplines and a healthy hyd roller it pushed my tank hih 11's NA and I turned it north of 7k regularily w/o any issues.

me? That combination was 11:1. I have the short block sitting on a shelf, swapped the rods for the newer powder forged GM units, probably should sell it.
