before you read this and get confused. i drive a 2000 mustang gt. i dont drive a teg anymore, i blew that thing up a year ago...
been looking at wheels for a while now. want to go with a staggered fit. something a little smaller in the front, wider in the back of course. 17's or 18's. i was looking at the fr500's for the mustang, they have them in 17x9 and 17x10.5 and 18x9 and 18x10.
i like them, but is a 9 inch rim kind of wide for a front end? i dont want to get nuts and put a drag rim on my car. just something that will look good and match my description well.
so... i guess i'm asking if i'd be ok mounting a 9 inch rim on the front and still be good if i took my car to the track or ran someone on the roads.
then it goes into, whats the smallest tire could i mount on a 9 inch rim? how about a 245?
i'd like to run maybe a 245 front and a 275 or so on the back.
right now, im running stock rims, and running n555's at 245/45/17 front and 255/45/17 back.
im also thinking about polishing the raised portions of the 5 spoke design on my rims, repainting the silver and clearing the whole rim.
hmmmm... i don't know...
also. i'm looking for a wiper cowl for my car, (2000 mustang) anybody know of anyone that has one that's not cracked?
