before you read this and get confused. i drive a 2000 mustang gt. i dont drive a teg anymore, i blew that thing up a year ago...

been looking at wheels for a while now. want to go with a staggered fit. something a little smaller in the front, wider in the back of course. 17's or 18's. i was looking at the fr500's for the mustang, they have them in 17x9 and 17x10.5 and 18x9 and 18x10.

i like them, but is a 9 inch rim kind of wide for a front end? i dont want to get nuts and put a drag rim on my car. just something that will look good and match my description well.

so... i guess i'm asking if i'd be ok mounting a 9 inch rim on the front and still be good if i took my car to the track or ran someone on the roads.

then it goes into, whats the smallest tire could i mount on a 9 inch rim? how about a 245?

i'd like to run maybe a 245 front and a 275 or so on the back.

right now, im running stock rims, and running n555's at 245/45/17 front and 255/45/17 back.

im also thinking about polishing the raised portions of the 5 spoke design on my rims, repainting the silver and clearing the whole rim.

hmmmm... i don't know...

also. i'm looking for a wiper cowl for my car, (2000 mustang) anybody know of anyone that has one that's not cracked?

with 17's the tires are almost half the price(literally).a 9" wheel for the front of the mustang is perfect.i would go with 17x9 and 17x10.5's like most everyone else.18's do fit the car alittle bit better but the difference is not worth 650$ more in tires per set to me.i just bought a new set of 18's if you would want the chrome steeda's for pretty cheap their mint.

my car with 17x9's up front with pilot sport 275's and 17x11 rear's with hoosier 335's
