hey, i need some help. Ive never bought tires before and desperately need some. The stock bridgestone potenzas didn't last long, and really didnt perform like i thought they would. Im just looking for some advice on a good tire that will perform good and have some life to them. But not have to pay outta my ass for them. ive been looking at hankook tires and they seem like good tires but i figured i would get some knowledge from everyone on here.
thanks :)

Good performance and tread wear never really go hand and hand unless you pay for a decent tire. With that said, I am a huge fan of BFG tires. They are not terribly expensive, but do have excellent grip, especially on wet roads.

Fuzion tires are fucking garbage.

And no. Fuzions are made by Bridgestone. Cheaper quality then the Potenza that he didn't like to begin with.
Being a biast asshole, my vote is for Goodyear Eagle Response Edge. They last forever & a holiday, ride so godamn smooth, are nice and grippy, however, as with all Goodyear products, they're absolutely the most expensive thing ever made.
The BFG, for being a French peice of shit, is a very decent tire. I've had their offroad series, and I've got Traction T/As on the Neon right now. The treadlife isn't impressing me, then again I drive like a complete dick. Their responsive enough, and cut the mustard just fine in the wet. Also have seen good things out of the g-Force Sport.
See what Yokohama has to bring to the table with the Avid series, either V4 or H4 series as far as price.

i was just reading about the BFG and all most all the reviews say they are great tires really grippy wet or dry and corner well but are noisy lol. i dont wanna sound like a 4x4 in my 4 banger. but i would put up with noise to have some great traction on my launches.
good years are to pricing for me right now thanks though.

Lolol, nah the BFGs aren't that loud, well my T/As aren't anyway, and the g-Force would be a step up from the Traction series so you know they'd be fine.

They are discontinuing hankook rs2's on tirerack. They're going for under $100 per tire in most sizes and are an excellent tire.

I had the stock BFG's when I got my SRT stock 3 years ago and the tire noise was horrible...reminded me of the noise I got from my old BFG's I had on my Jeep Wrangler...my last set of tires were Toyo's and I got great wear out of them and they were quiet...also had a set of Hankook Ventus HR II's on my old Tib and they too were quiet and I got great wear out of them...

Mine are not that noisy. I am also very tolerant of noises since I do drive a Camaro lol. I don't understand where the tire noise thing comes from with BFG. Any tire can be noisy, and in 5 sets of BFG's on different cars, and trucks, none have been that loud at all.
Pat knows a thing or two about tires.

Tirerack is pretty good. Shipping can be iffy, but if it is in a close warehouse, it won't be bad. Don't forget the cost of mounting and balancing locally.

my bfg's made noise too lol.although it was a drag radial and had low pressure all the time,
bfg makes a nice street tire,if you want a badass tire for the rain and to still have pretty damn good dry weather grip the stock srt4 bfg kdw ta's are awesome

I have no moo-lah, so i go with usually the cheapest i can find, I usually burn them anyways =P but yeah, im rocking $69 nankangs with free shipping! Not the cheapest i've ever bought, but I like the pattern they used, plus looked like they could handle water with those two water well-siphon-thingies

I can give you a good deal on anything your looking for...best wheels got nothing on me! Nankangs are garbage, nitto neogens are good but not a tire to hook up with, bfgs are an excellent choice, the nt555 are a good universal tire if you want wet weather and traction....and id stay away from fuzions. Falken is okay but they wear quickly. Lmk I can help you out

Had RS2's...go with those. Price right now is ridiculous. If they don't have the right size for you check out the Direzzas. I have them on my car and they rock.
