I am trying to get the guys from STREET WISE to come down here and start some events. The owners are 2 brothers Brian and Todd. While I was up there I had a sit down dinner with them discussing the idea and they are wanting to come down and stay with me and see how many people are into the scene and if possible go into partnership with them and do Street Wise down here.

Man there were so many fly ass Asian chick on their drift team I was in heaven .

I have contact info for the guys that run the Florida Drift Championship. PM me and ill get you their phone numbers.

But basically the reason we dont have killer drift events right now is:
1. To many events by separate groups
2. Tires are expensive, only a few have sponsorship or help with tires (nevermind the guys that go dumpster diving)
3. Drift cars get pretty beaten up, and break. Sometimes the driver needs to work for 6 months to get the parts to fix it and get back on the track.
4. IMHO, theres is only 2-3 guys currently going to events that could hold it down on the pro level. Mostly everyone has gotten to the edge of their talent and needs help to get to the next level.

I really wish that Drifting would take off around these parts, I love photographing it!

UMM why don't you watch the video . That is what these guys are all about ! And I can prob get anybody the best deal on new tires if they want . With these guys name in the area there will be more sponsers coming into the area.What do you think the guys up in NC do stick their thumb up the poop shut and pull out the mean greens hell no they are just like me and you broke. If someone wants to do it and it is there passion they will find a way.

Dan, i think my message got a bit lost there.

It would be great for your friends to come down here and give the drifting scene a shot in the arm that it needs. but i think that working with the Ter-tech guys will be the fastest way to grow the scene. If they can pull sponsors into the area, that would go a long way! I also think its great that you went out of your way to pitch the idea to these guys!

Yeah I just would love to see something better then County Line , and close to home for us . We were talking about a good place to hold an event to try it out and I told him to find out about where they all do the auto cross at. They have grown in their area some much over the year that Charolette is giving them their own track . We have alot of people that would love to just come out and try it and then once they do they are hooked. That is what happened to me. It would be cool for you photo guys also .
