Might be picking one up from a good friend of mine since he's going to bootcamp for the ARMY. So far I've heard alot of good things about it, wanted to see if anyone from FMR has any experience with that brand of bikes.

And if they can help me find a rear fairing for cheap, along with the tail light, every site I've looked on that shits pretty expensive.

Great bike perfect for stunting. I can def show you a few ropes if you ever wanna learn.

silver, but i dont care about the color atm. Just wanna get the parts as cheap as possible. But its still not a 100% sure thing, just making sure I can get that parts for a good price if I do get it.

And yea I think I'll hold off on learning how to stunt for awhile. Its my first bike, and I wanna keep it in 1 piece.

F4i's are nice, but just remember... like the "R6s" compared to the R6... it may prove to be a pain in the ass if you ever want to get rid of it, simply because the F4i is not AS quite as aggressive as the 600RR... so most people would much rather get the RR, simply because its more mainstream.

I've never ridden a honda street bike, just my CR250, but I've always heard good things.

The only things I've ever heard in regards to that bike is how easy it is to stunt. I guess a lot of people get them when they are getting into stunting. As such I would guess it's a pretty easy bike to ride.

That's a very good mentality... but it will soon change once you're on the bike lol. When I had the gsxr, I was a little careful. Lots of go-fast, but not so much wheelies. The R6 on the other hand.... geared incredibly low... I was addicted to popping wheelies like it was crack lol. As soon as you start getting decent at it, you do it all the time.

When I got the Kawi, I stopped wheelies all together. Didn't pull one. Attempted just a couple small ones, but I just spun the tire a little... didn't really have the urge anymore. Plus... the whole getting pulled over incident definitely put me in my place and let me know that roads are for driving on, not for fucking around on.

Just be safe and be smart. Most people say you have to watch everyone around you... and yeah, very true... but most motorcycle accidents are the motorcyclist's fault. Running red lights, going too fast in traffic, speeding in between cars while recording it thinking that chicks will jump on your dick for doing so... they're all things that will get you killed.

Just have fun on the bike and save some frickin gas money. :rock

Don't know where you're getting those stats from. A large majority of riders are harley/ cruiser riders just riding around following the law. However your right. Just be safe. Always watch for the idiots around you though. The one day I was riding responsible was the day I got hit.

Yea, I've seen alot of people lose arms and legs, along with someone who's nearly died cause of bike accidents. I'm gonna try my best, not to let those urges (that i know I'll get eventually) get the best of me on the streets.

But I appreciate the words of advice.

I am assuming you probably dont have your motorcycle endorsement on your license since this will be your first bike. Even though that bike is not the fastest bike out there, it still needs a lot of respect when you are riding it. The problem with many people's thinking is that oh yeah, its easy to ride a bike; and yeah everyone can ride one. But without any training... the point where you are going to get hurt is when you have to make a split second decision or swerve out of the way of something, not just taking it easy down some roads with no traffic.

I would highly suggest getting into a motorcycle class; the only one I can recommend from first hand experience is Riders Edge which is through Harley Davidson. It'll cost between 300-400, but you wont have to take the stupid test down at the DMV to get your endorsement, and IMO $400 is a cheap price to pay for something that very well could be the difference between life and death when riding down here in SWFL. So be smart about it, and make sure you not only factor in money for the bike and getting it fixed, but also good gear to ride with (boots/pants/jacket/helmet/gloves). They arent cheap either, but I would rather purchase and replace them than paying for a hospital bill for skin grafts.

You have to take the class to get the endorsment now. When I took it I went to one in Naples and it cost me 250. I can't remember what it was called right now though. You learn so much in that one weekend though. Beside being required by law to take it you learn so much that you would be a fool not to. Gear is always important too. Without mine I would probably be dead from my accident. Don't cheap out either. Remember your gear is all that is keeping you from being seriously messed up in an accident. I'd rather have to replace a $300 dollar helmet and a $250 jacket than be paralyzed, a vegetable, or dead.
Enough of that. lol. I'm just really passionate about being safe when riding. Have fun with it. It's a blast. Just try to stay away from the grey hairs.

I already have my endorsement. I've had that for a while now, figured I'd get that before the bike, so that I don't have to wait as long to be able to ride. It cost me $250. And if my friend decides to sell me the bike, I'm going to be getting his gear with it, atleast till I can get my own.

I didnt say any stats? Lol.

Most crashes are in the intersections, and its usually from running red lights.

As for the harley group, I believe its somewhere around 1/3 of all deaths are between 1-3am from dui's on a motorcycle. Not quite sure what idiot would decide to get drunk then go on a motorcycle when he cant balance on his two feet.... but its usually from harley guys leaving the bars drunk.

+1... although its hot out, sweat wipes off, scars dont. Always wear your gear. If its too hot for gear, get some breathable gear or dont ride.

Yea, I'm looking into getting a mesh jacket, like the one my friend has, and checking out what kinda pants they have. Because the floriduh heat is something I'm taking into consideration.

Just got a txt from my friend, he's deciding not to sell his bike. So the wait goes on, and I'm back to hitting up craigslist...

If I were you I would expand your search onto Ebay, bought most of my bikes there, Including an MV Agusta I had shipped from up north. But the bike I ride now and even my first bike back in the day I bought on Ebay, with LOW MILES too. Honda 600 are great bikes, still would enjoy riding one. Good Luck with the search, if I see anything interesting I'll let ya know.
