Well when you get that supra running let me know LOL. Then you will have a race. That is like one of the only cars I have ever seen rivil with the BUSA. and that is a built supra though. I am 250 pounds and I can't ride small bikes anymore. I have wanted a busa since they came around. They are to me the best bike made in the sportbike world..

I am coming out of pocket with $1500. So not a bad deal for me. It is a 2002 , but everyone that knows me , knows it won't look this way for long. I have already been putting my ideas on papar. I don't like the seats on it, the rear pegs , so they are first to go!

Awesome man, DO WORK! I can appreciate a busa, but it isnt for me. Like someone else said, its WAY to big for me. I'm a 130-140lb 19 year old... I think I'll stick to finding a nice gsxr 600-750. r6. or 636 in the future, those seem to be more my size.

for a rider that likes this style, an equally nice bike (IMO) is the newer Kawasaki ZX-14R, same chassis set-up as the Busa, as it was designed when Suzuki and Kawasaki shared designs haha, and they look great modded too.

love these 'Busas though, they look great, and you can make them look better. and man, do they move out!!!

LUMBER BLACK
December 23rd, 2009, 07:36 PM
wow and sorry to tell ya but totally 2 different worlds between the ZX14 and the BUSA. The ZX14 setup sucks. The seats suck , they are pigs until the higher RPM range. They do look great when done up rite , but I love the rideability of the BUSA over the ZX14.Yes POS I agree with you on the size bike you want to stick with. I have been riding for along time and am a bigger guy. I can't stand being on 600cc bike anymore. This size bike fits me perfect, and is my style. Keep watching , cause the bike is gonna be changing quick. I am a mod whore.

As for busa's being the best bike in the sport bike world... I think that's pretty damn biased lol. Hayabusa's are more like a novelty than a real street bike. Sure they move quick, but try to ride one on a track. An experienced rider on a 1000 would be doing circles around the busa all day.

The bike never actually had the Spray hooked up. I know the guy that owned it. He is a 51 year old man and used it for the purge at the shows. Those words of it being the best bike never came out my mouth, and actually I know a ton of guys that will prove you wrong about taking a Busa around the track. .It is the setup they run . I have to say it is the best bike for me though. And the Busa is actulaay called a sport touring bike as well as the ZX-14. I will be lowering it more this week , got new grab bars, seats, cowl, and soon will be adding swingarm, and paint.

I saw the add for the swing arm on c/l yesterday. I was going to post it up here for you, but I became side tracked.

Hell no I wouldn't even take that swing arm if you gave it to me. It was a piece of shit. It needed a lot of work. I am wanting a single sided swingarm , but in black. I am not into all the chrome.

Nope, they came out of your fingers!

They are to me the best bike made in the sportbike world..

And of course they're considered sport touring, they're huge!! That's my point! lol. On the other hand, a black single-sided swingarm would be badass. :rock

yes for me youngin. for me. I have ridden almost every others size bike and brand and these suit me best. Oh and on the black swingarm . I got a really nice grab bar in the mail today . Now my girl will be able to hold on while riding , instead of holding me.

They're good for touring. That's it. Not that fantastic of a street-able sport bike, but for most people, if you're on a sport bike for more than an hour, you're aching all day. Luckily, I only weigh 130+lbs soaking wet, so I can scoot up on the seat a little, making my back straighter. I know plenty of people who love busa's... just not my thing I guess. I prefer functionality and turning over downright power. Seems like you're paying for the "Hayabusa" name rather than the bike itself, since a stock GSXR1000 will run a quarter mile in 10.5, with the Busa at 10 flat. But i dunno, I'm just a youngin.

Yeah you don't seem to know much to me. I have been around bikes and the sport of riding them for alot longer then you have lived. To each their own. I will put my bike up againt another stock bike any day. It is all about the rider. Know the person before you speak meaning me only buying the bike for the name. If you would like I can have some pro's that ride join here and school you a bit in bikes and their rideability factors. Go and check some facts on the comparison between bikes before you come in here trying to ruin someones post please. There is a reason that this bike has been around so long without any major change until the recent years.

For some reason, you seem to think that I'm hating on you LOL. Stop giving me the "I know a lot more about this shit than you do sonny" lecture. I'm sure you do. I agree. I don't know a lot about motorcycles. You are absolutely right. But from what I've LEARNED, riding with a bunch of different ADULTS at different meets, is that Busa's are not very good for tight corners and such because they're heavy, big, and not as well balanced. I doubt that even you would be able to put both bikes to their true limits, so it probably doesn't even matter anyway. Just spend another 10 grand, get a Boss Hoss and call it a day.

I apologize that my interests are not the same as yours, however, in no way was I trying to put you down personally. I know it's a typical forum thing, but you need to not jump down people's throats quite so quickly. I did check the specs on both bikes before posting, which is why I threw in the FACT that Hayabusa's run the 1/4 in about 10 flat, while the gsx-r1000's come in at about 10.5. The reason the bike's been around for so long is because they go fast. People like that, so they buy it. Since then, people have learned that all bikes are insanely quick and have started stepping away from the Busa, leading Suzuki to start making changes. <---- Just researched three different forums on the subject.

Dudes on Busa's never wanna run my 600 on the street....don't know why. Its the one bike i still want to add to the kill list.

R6's
CBR600
CBR1000
636's lots of them.
ZX10
ZX14
Triumph 675

only R1 i've run was a 19 yo girl, don't think that counts....but then again she probably rides just as well as all the fag in Fort Myers on bikes.

have fun on your sport tourer Dan.

I will FAG BOY and when you bring that 600 back down you call me. We can run at the track or on street. You have way to much pride in that 600cc Josh. You must have ran a bunch of nobs that can't launch or ride or something. So how is CALI treating you these days?

It seems everyone likes to talk a big game on this forum for some reason... From a guy that rides on the ROAD TRACK, you won't see any Busa's out there. On the drag strip it's a little different, but that's why I like bikes, it is all in the rider... If anyone wants to run a 1000rr with an actual rider who doesn't ride around with some fag ass mo-hawk on his helmet or his swing arm extended past his fat girfriend's ass give me shout, I'm always down for a good you tube video.

On a lighter note... congrats on getting a bike, and the one that YOU like. I have owned a lot of bikes in my days and like them all for different reasons, it's just nice to see people out riding.

I like the Busa's but the look of the bike kills it for me. I personally have a special spot in my heart of the ZX-14 and 10R. Good luck and ride safe!

Draginknee Thanks for the input. I will be picking up another bike for track days real soon. The BUSA will still be my daily cruiser. I love riding this bike. It is so much more fun to ride on long trips.

Ya, I def have to agree, if your looking for the most comfort on a crotch rocket, you got it... track days are a blast, and you can pick up a decent 600 for cheap too, doesn't need to be pretty
