Low coolant thing popped up on the screen, went to AutoZone, bought coolant....Came home, put in the coolant, low coolant thing went away. An hour later, start the car, light came on again.

I'm just amazed that a car would have a "low coolant thing". I feel so deprived, with my pos I'm forced judge that kinda thing by the spraying of coolant on my windshield, the scaulding hot water spraying on my legs, or the massively overheating temp gauge. *sigh*

Oh, oops. I'm pretty sure it's a radiator problem. All the coolant I put in there, is now gone.

For some reason rubber seems to wear out before metal does, you should probably check over the hoses, I think that's what Frank was getting at.

I don't know man, lol. I've been workin' on that stupid car all day and been cleaning my house. I'm tired. Yeah, that's a good excuse. Nah, my car enthusiast Dad said he thinks it's a radiator problem actually. He must have looked at it and seen something I didn't.

Top that thing off with water, if you don't see the leak immediately, drive around for 5 min and you should be able to find it.

What are you talking about? This is CLEARLY the best time to go do a bunch of street racing in school zones and WOT pulls in front of the LCSO.

Was going to mention those low coolant sensors suck most of the time, but since you checked that the coolant was gone ... it's not a bad sensor. If you lost that much coolant that fast ... it should be pretty obvious where it is leaking from.

Get a pressure tester, hooks right up to where the radiator cap goes. Fill it with water, hook it up. And it shouldn't be to hard to find where the leak is at that point.

Shouldn't be too hard to find it anyway

Since you have a GM you can run DexCool coolant. If you add it via the dipstick, its pretty much like direct injection, so it'll just bypass where ever the leak is.

ummm... if there isn't obvious coolant on the ground from a leaky hose or radiator... could be a head gasket... check your oil just to to make sure :)
