We forgot to talk to Hutter about the details of the school they might be putting on. Does anyone know details or have any opinions?

We have a couple different schools that we host, but it seems that Dave needs a number before he decides which school he invites. (just a guess)
Every school we have ever hosted offers tons of seat time with national-level driver(s) instructing. I have never heard any student come away unhappy.

Hey mike!
So how much does it usually cost? Is it a two day thing, or is the school run Saturday and then the usual event Sunday?
We're just trying to figure out if we're in....then we can get ahold of him. Rachael also works some Saturdays, so we'll have to figure out which ones.
Thanks

I did the evo school a couple years ago and it helped me a great deal. They teach you alot about looking ahead and setting up for the next turn and things like that. I think each day was $250.
In retrospect though, $300 can get you a full track day in HPDE1. HPDE1 is 4 25 minute sessions with an instructor. It's on a road course, but you get a lot of seat time. If auto-x is the farthest you want to take your racing, then do the school. If you want to move up to road racing or do a mix, then starting the HPDE stuff may be a better investment for your money.
BTW this is Pflugi with the teg.

I would like to road race. Rachael doesn't. That means I won't be road racing anytime soon!
I learned a lot when John Lawson and I swapped cars/ride-a-long one Saturday. Most of all I learned that you really go flat through a lot of stuff. I know our car has a lot more in it than either of us can drive, so we'll have to see.
The other thing is that if both of us do the school...that's $500...

It's a lot of money. But if you feel like you have hit a plateau, it can help you raise your game.
If the price is too steep, make it a point to have faster drivers drive your car or give you a ride in theirs.
Jason Ruggles wasn't at the track for 5 minutes before I had him making runs in my car with me riding shotgun. (he just came by to drop off some stuff for sunday)

I think one our plateaus is the mechanic. First I didn't have enough camber and didn't roll the fenders = ate a bit of rubber. Then I forgot to turn the boost back up (I turned it down for the ride up to PA and the snow).
But really, Rachael wants to run the Solo school. The Star Specs might die afterwards.
Maybe Rcomps later?!

Talked to Rachael about maybe her doing the autoX school, and I get a new set of tires. I think she'd like the school better anyways. I'm not uber competitive, and would rather work on the car. Plus, then she'd be quicker than me, which makes everybody happy!

Shift key is fixed.
They currently don't have enough people for the Extreme School ($500 for 2 days), Intro and Comp for $250 a piece.
We're just questioning if we wanna/can drop that much cash.

Im sure my opinion doesnt matter much as im not an accomplished driver or anything. But I personally wouldnt do one unless I had the cash saved up on the side or it wasnt an inconvenience to my wallet to do the school.
Like Mike said, I would find a good driver that you can ride with in your car and do back to back runs swapping out positions. This gives you twice as much time on the coure, and you split the time between driving, and finding where you can go faster.
Me and Dave did this in my old sedan, and we both dropped some time I believe. For the rest of that test and tune, we continuously traded times with eachother. This is a great way to go faster without going to a school.
Man that was alot of typing to say: dont go, find a good driver and take notes when swapping seats.

Well, hopefully there are other options in the works.
