I need some help from the local DSMers. I was working on the eclipse yesterday (Did the Fuel Pump rewire) and after playing on DSM link my car stopped holding the idle, every time I let off the gas it stalled. After playing with a couple of settings and seeing no change I decided to look at the ECU because of past problems. Needless to say I have burned another ISC driver and can't figure out why. This is my third time doing this and I need to get some ideas on what else to check. I have changed the IAC motor and housing, and have even installed the FIAV block off plate and dropped the coolant lines to the TB becasue there was issues with that in the past. Everything seemed fine for the last few months driving it around until yesterday. I also tested the IAC and my OHMS are off from normal so I am going to change it again... third time. Any ideas on what else I can look at to keep from blowing these in the ECU????????????

Fuckin DSM's :) Did you have to remove the pump from the tank.... if so make sure that rubber gasket is sealing properly had a similar problem on mine.

No, the rewire is just to upgrade the power wire for the pump to a 10ga wire instead of the low gauge wire that came stock. This allows for a more consitant fuel pressure on high volume injectors.

For the basics, make sure your throttle body voltage settings are correct. Also make sure the dsmlink setting correspond with tb setting. If they are not even initialy set right it will make your ecu adjust the isc and can cause premature failure. It is very possible that your isc has been getting overworked and drawing too many amps and therefore burning out the driver and isc. There are alot of other variables but seeing how your car runs fine for awhile and then burns out, you may just need the initial adj.
My 2g would idle fine at 1k or so but Ive went through your same issues. It all comes down to if the components are in good working order and the dsmlink is configured correctly, the car should idle.
Once you get your driver fixed and new isc, I would def be able to lend a hand in getting it dialed in. Good luck -
