Its worth 5rwhp tops, so really its your opinion on if it is worth it or not. I had a ported T/B on my fairly stock Z, didn't really notice any difference.

It doesn't sound complete if you describe your setup without saying "ported TB!" somewhere in the description. So pay the money and port it, you won't be able you tell you did so. That being said, my TB is ported as well as my heads and 90mm intake. Can't hurt, flow is good. :biggrin

Ported TB is good for 5rwhp or so, but supposedly helps in the throttle response. Mine's been ported for so long I couldn't tell you anymore.

They say it is a big difference in throttle response but no real power gain. I'm just porting mine myself.

It not only the one single thing you do that makes a big difference, all the little things that add 2-5hp are what can give you the slight edge on the guy that didn't want to waste the money "on only a 5hp gain".

Throttle response, and maybe a horse or two is all its good for and I think its worth it.

I was about to do the same.

A slight edge is everything sometimes. No difference is no difference every time. I had my bird on the dyno when I replaced my stock TB with a ported one. We ran the car before and after the TB was swapped and it made exactly no difference on my hp #s. True story, ask Justin. It was when my bird was still an LS1.

BUT.......A car with NO changes can vary a couple HP on the dyno from run to run. It still may have helped performance and not shown on the dyno.........or maybe it really did nothing.

When I ported mine, only thing I really noticed was throttle response. Basically, at idle, you'll notice it when you blip the throttle, it revs quicker.
