Go to the corporate store off 41 between Daniels and Six Mile. It is off Andrea Ln. They will help you the right way. If you are looking for two to share a plan, get the 1500 minute Everything Data Family for $129.99/mo. The Evo's will have an extra $10/mo charge as well, plus the insurance is $7/mo for the phone. So it would be around $82/mo per phone plus tax. Unlimited data, text, and mobile to mobile (any mobile phone, doesn't matter what carrier). The 1500 minutes will be used for roaming, and land line phone calls.
The Evo itself will be $199 ... and ask if they can do instant rebates instead of mail in. The manager might be able to approve it. If your credit is good enough as a new customer, you can bill both phones to your account, and walk out of the store paying tax only. Plus accessories if you want any. I would suggest the silicone case for $10. Screen protector isn't really needed.

why is it $10 more for an evo? thats the plan i just looked at and seemed very reasonable...as far as new customer, my brother has been with nextel for 10 years and he's been wanting to switch over for a while to sprint, i dont think he will be considered a new customer since he will just be transferred.

He already technically is a Sprint customer. However if he has been out of contract for awhile, what I would do to get the newest discounts is simply open a new Sprint account and port the numbers and cancel the Nextel account, if they let you. They might give you the full discount prices without doing that.
It is $10 more a month because of the type of phone it is. They expect more data usage. AT&T charges more for the iPhone, so Sprint is basically doing the same thing. It also helps them recoup the cost of selling the phones at the price they do. They take a HUGE hit on these phones, here is one example from a store. As you can see below this store alone has sold 2,075 handsets this year at a cost of $493,000 and resold them for $302,000. So a 63% loss just in handsets. So no, handsets are not as cheap as everyone thinks they are. It takes the full 2 year contract to recoup the loss of those handsets and the company gambles you'll stay longer but by that time your in another discounted handset. They make money by selling accessories at a large margin but the business is not as liquid as most think.
