but they way you say it implies that they would rather have that supra be a dyno queen, thus lessening the importance of a useable powerband.

Their goal was to create a Dyno Queen. I mean look at the turbo.
so on a scale of importance to the creators of that car
..........is defeated by this
usable p. band < dyno queen
having a usable powerband IS LESS (important) THAN that dyno queen's crazy numbers
practicality < supra
that supra defeats all streetability and practicality, so the above forumula is true.
for THE PURPOSE that THAT car (the car is question) was built, a usable poweband is less important (<) than achieving the numbers they wanted.
now for a street car, thats a different story of course, but we are talking about this supra.
