my computer should be back thursday or friday of this week reflashed for a base turbo tune just to get it 2 the dyno. but if the a/f ratio stays good @ 8psi i will hold off on a full dynotune until i get some meth. :D
but
as soon as my check for $900 to my mom clears i will be ordering LOTS OF TUBING,FLANGES, COUPLERS, T-BOLT CLAMPS, my intercooler, BOV, and boostguage.
All thats left to order after that is
AEM wideband-$260
Turbonetics evolution wastegate-$220
Braided hoses-$60 for oil
Oil pump-$150
Fittings and check valves-$100
FMU-$100
and Fuel pump- $100
Bolts and hardware- $100
gonna start prefabricating everything not this weekend but next weekend and cutting holes and what not.
i plan on doing this right the first time so once its on its on and working perfect unlike my nitrous set-up.
if anyone would like 2 help me in the pre-fab stage or @ anyother time just send me a pm.
BTW!!!!!!!-----
I need a tool that can expand the end of an exhaust tube so it will slip over another tube. anyone know where i can find one of those.

I hear that aluminum is a little difficult to weld because of its low melting point... I am not sure though. Is this for your turbo plumbing?

yes. the only aluminum is from the BOV flange. everything else is steel flanges, and aluminzed tubing. its a rearmount. from turbo 2 intercooler 2" tubing to a 31x12x3 FMIC 2 2.5" tubing through the maf 2 the intake bonnet which will later be replaced bye a custom 90degree elbow/reducer intake "bonnet". stock bonnet known 2 leak boost above 6psi. gonna run 8 w/out meth and 11 on meth. (@ 11psi other people are making 350+ whp so thats my goal)

Negrodamus
July 9th, 2006, 01:25 AM
200$ something ahh it was a while ago. if all you need is a bov flange welded, theres no way Bill would charge you more than 50$ the intercoolers took about 4 hours to get them right.

okay so i ordered a bunch of shit 2night. BOV, I.C., all the oil lines and fittings except for the oil pump, all of the tubing, clamps, flanges, gaskets. now comes time 2 remove my muffler and send my exhaust tubing 2 an exhaust shop 2 get, W/G. flange, T3 turbo flange, and Wideband 02sensor bungs all welded up, as well as a 20degree bend for some extra clearance on the compressor side. gave her a check for $900, total of all that shit came out 2 $892. Next paycheck is paying for, fuel pump, FMU, Boost guage, oil pump, wastegate, 02sensor :D..... then maybe a few more misc shit and i will have all of the parts 2gether :D

my goal is 350 to 360whp. with the nitrous i was only @ 250 maybe 260 and that was pushing it so i think another 100whp would be nice. the block will hold 400whp for long periods of time (2+ years has been done). so we will see.

nope talking 2 the previous owner of your mr2. didnt run as fast i thought it would. hey man those CPI blocks can i swap my vortec heads/intake manifold onto that no problem? balance shaft motor? sorry i know the basics not details on the cpi's. dont care how many miles as long as the block is in prefect condition.

yes it does with very basic mods. @ 16+psi that thing runs. but @ the track on stock boost it wasnt what i was expecting. from a dig the blazer is faster than his ccar with him only running 13 or 14 psi but now that hes @ 18psi i doubt i stand much of a chance above 70mph.......

the motor is the same as yours just out of a late 92 blazer s-10 when they used the CPI unit for like a year and a half.
the only difference between the motors is the intake. the block and all is the same.

I would rather you put a rod based brace down the front of the intercooler replacing the large bracket taht was their with an open rod system so that there is a lesser chance to misalign that top bracket.
remember that top bracket is very important.
