You have any idea how much lightening you would have to do on a GTO to get 3600 pounds race weight? Impressive, but don't expect that out of your daddy's car.

no one in my family has a GTO. just thought it was cool. GTO curb weight is like 3900 roughly isnt it. so 300lbs is alot yes but then you run really really low 11's @ full weight then.

Daddy's car was a joke, IE your normal everyday Joe's car. 3600 pounds race weight includes fuel and driver so you're looking at a car that weighs around 3350-3400 empty which is a lot of weight from a heavy car like the GTO.

some kid @ a party last night tried 2 tell me that a GTO stock weighs 3200 lbs. thats why it was so "fast"......... and all my friends think he knows alot about cars LOL. yeah, 600lbs is alot of weight 2 lose in a car.
