yeah but who are they? the red one looked kinda nice, little ricey. the black one was a bit beat up and missing lug nuts, kinda scary. i talked to tragic for a sec at the light. seems like a nice enough guy. he said both cars were ported. i've had ported n/a rx-7's and they were faster than my car. i think fuel managent is in dire need. time for some tunes. i hate beating my own kind :sadwave:

yea man we both had all our work done at pettit, nothing special, only thing he had that i didnt was an ecu and he was boosting 12lbs while i was boosting 8, his name is jarrett hes on this forum too. but yea my powerfc/commander/datalogit and fuel system should be coming soon, i'll have the car done by december, and i'm switching the twins to non seq. so once all thats done it'll be a beast, you shoulda stuck around though we had a hell of a night.

non seq is definatly a good way to go. why not get a big t04 though? my RX-7 was probly putting down around 500whp with a large t04 and a street ported motor. new test dummy motor is a street/bridge. gonna find out what the stock internal motor n/a 4 port will do. it's still gonna have the turbo though.

what ended up happening? i had to leave cause i have to work this morning...uhh oh i'm late

I am not trying to be a dick , but neither of those are street ported. Have you ever heard a ported 7. There is a big difference in the way they idle. I know he said pettit did the work , but those guys lied to you.I have a friend back in NC with a street ported 7 by pettit 3rd gen too and his car sounds and runs way different. Actually I will try to find the video of it to show you.

those most likely are bridgeported rx7s, the engines are ported not alot but basically its the smallest port you can get from what i've heard, it makes a difference without sacrificing daily driving. i'll call camron later today and ask what kind of port he did with the rx7s. but they are streetported, just not nasty.

ENGINE PORTING INFORMATION:
OUR STANDARD STREET PORT IMPROVES EFFICIENCY AND FLOW WITH OUT MAJOR CHANGES IN PORT TIMING. THIS RESULTS IN BETTER FUEL ECONOMY AS WELL AS MORE POWER DELIVERED THROUGH ALL THE RPM RANGES AND BOOST LEVELS. OUR STANDARD 13BTT STREET PORT ENGINE, WHEN PROPERLY TUNED @ 16 20 PSI/BOOST WITH A 1:1 1:1.25 BACK PRESSURE RATIO IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING 200 HP / ROTOR

from pettit. i've seen rx7's that are streetported as well and sound completely different and have a nasty idle but there are different types of porting. i'm sure it doesn't idle like your friends because they dont fuck with port timing and such. but feel free to call them if you want. 954-563-6064. they are ported but just not ported like any of us want them, believe me i'd love to have my car bridgeported or at least sound like it, but i cant when its the only car i can drive, i'd fuck it up.

ya , I didn't think about that it could be a slight street port job mybad. I am just used to the major jobs. Most people when they do a port job on those they kinda tend to go to the wild side. How close were you guys with the civic?

yea i know what you mean, i jsut got off the phone with camron and he said its basically just a small port for extra flow, believe me i'd be pissed off because i want my car to sound bridgeported too ,but he didnt even charge me anything for it he just does it for anyone who gets their shit rebuilt there, so i decided not to bitch alot, but if anyone around here can do some decent porting with rotaries i woulnd't mind getting a bridged motor haha.

Nice run FMYStreetRacer. Tragic and me have almost the same setup. I have a vaccum leak that I need to fix. I wanted to talk to you, but I left shortly after we got back to TJ maxx. I'll be out there again and hopefully get to talk. My car does not look rice what so ever!!!

^ i second the anti rice comment. those are all stock body pieces on the red fd. and a nice set of mesh (bbs's?) wheels are the sex.

the wing was a tad ricey. i like the sleeper look more, but that's just me. street port + turbo is the way to go. fuck bridgepoerting a turbo motor. if anything bridgeport a n/a motor and go beat up on modded 3rd gens.

we'll see what this rally ported motor does. if i can hit 400 rwhp i'll be happy. should do a little more than that though ;-)

1st gens own all! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCMBP-LKzQA)

i haven't had anyone port any of my motors. my bridge-port in the video i bought motor already ported but the car wouldn't rev over 4k. local guy built that motor but he doesn't like his name being put out there cause he doesn't build motor's anymore.

the current motor going back into my rx-7 is a test motor i bought. i didn't want to test tuneing carbs on my nice motor. the test motor was already ported.

if i had anyone in town do it'd be Luis at 4 star auto or Carlos at Zitro racing.

the red car was definatly nice looking, just didn't care for the wing. but then again i don't think i've ever seen a wing on a 3rd gen i liked. that is probly the best one though.

yea a stock 99 spec fd3s rx7 wing. just because its a jdm oem part doesnt mean that its after market also his is not a knockoff but a real mazda oem part. i see what your saying that its not stock for a us spec car, but my point is its hard to call it rice when its a stock part on the same model/chassis car.

haha, nobody will see that car for a long time. it's undergoing some work right now. trust me if it ran i wouldn't be bringing my civic out to car club night...actualy i guess i would. i've had the car for over 5 years now and only put 1,000 miles on it.
