why dont you come to fort myers, theres a few of us that drift around here, more along the lines of fuck around, we dont take it that seriously, but waste a lot of tires in the process, i wouldn't really call any of us that great but we've passed basics and are getting torwards the bigger and better stuff.

a lot of this forum is in the archive... and a lot of it is cutoff via the 30 day cutoff.

there is no drift scene in fort myers.

id like to consider this recent up rise in drifters to the ftf3 movie.....but drifting started as a a group of guys dicking around on the moutain passes, passing time, having fun...it seems that that is how this scene is coming to be in our area. hopefully the posers weed themselves out and some true talent comes from the area.

Igor is a FAnboy.......not a poser but yes a fanboy....but he knows i'll drift so even though i'm a pre 3F3F bandwagon drifter..i'll out drift anybody in this area until proven otherwise. He love my lines.

well what im trying to say is that apparently there is a group here that enjoy drifting or thinks that its cool, so they are doing it....the ones that can keep up with the expenses will get better and the posers will become broke and quit. and hopefully maybe every one learns some car control. and itsnt learning how to control your car the end goal in any type of motor sport.

when you coming back eric? yea i've been trying to get decent at it. ever since the first time i went out with igor it caught my attention, i've never seen it in person and i thought it was just such a funner way of driving, just a lot more complicated and alot more skilled then just drag racing and shit well besides autocross that is also hard. but yea there are a few of us, who were pre ff3 fans who just do it because its fun and we wanna get better and hey, its fort myers.. what else is there to do. its pretty much been me, randy, and casco, but lately every week more and more people are coming out to watch and hangout its great, its just people from the forums so theres no jackasses or anything. its just getting more fun every week.

the first mistake is having people there just to watch.....rookie mistake....okay next time there is a "drift get together" let me know about it. i think i as the most experience drifter. and most like the most experience motorsports and driving like a nut person in this area that i will start the offical SouthWestDriftSocialEvents. i have spots, i have safe spots

Igor you and your SR versus me and my SR! then we'll see.

I had a small group of poeple that were into drifting but have all moved or dissapeared. But i have yet to see anybody is this area drift besides Igor.
Saturday night just find me on my bike. 06 GSXR 600 white and blue with blue rims.

Well, my question is, what the fuck does it matter?

If someone saw drifting in a movie and wants to try it, and they enjoy it, let them. They may be better than you one day. Hell, its safe to assume that watching others drift in person or in videos or seeing it in magazines is what you into it. Some of you are getting a little cocky here. What is wrong with someone who isn't a D1 god doing it just because its fun? Its been around even in the USA since RWD and snow were combined.

I think its fun to slide around and "drift." I can't do it anymore since I have a F/AWD car, but either way, just don't get offended/pissed off/whatever if someone doesn't take it as seriously as you do. I mean, theres bo need to call names like fanboy or poser or anything like that.

Instead of "I'm better than anyone else" and having a super gay drift-off to see who wins, why don't you simply acknowledge that its something you both like to do and both of you are good at. Being arrogant, cocky and big-headed only makes you look like an ass.

WTF is this guy problem........

i was being a smart ass like always......

holy shit people actually look at the drift section now......

Igor sends me nakes pics.....my bulk mail is out of control 1174 new messages.

I totally support the Idea that if people are so worried about what happened in FF3 then those are not the people you need to please. its about pleasing yourself(with you left or right hand i don't care)

holy shit there is people learning to slide in the fortmyers area...i might lose my crown if i don't get a car running soon.

Now that Igor is gone the drift scene can finally grow.

SWFDC is now offical

I got intrested in drifting a little over three years ago, when my brother first showed me some movies from japan about it. I've followed it a little bit, here and there since then and have always wanted to get a car to do it. I finally (in febuary) bought an s13. Now that I have the car, i've been taking it slow, because i've never owned a performace car or done any performace driving and the last thing i wanna do is smash up my car while practicing due to lack of experience.

Now, If you wanna call me a poser, or a fanboy, that's ok. I'll probaly be doing auto-x for awhile before I ever even start praticing. You'll never hear me spraying shit from my mouth with that "i'm better then all the old people in naples at drifting, because there's like 4 people in all of collier county who even know what it is."

Dont take it into offense. But I try to read your posts, and its difficult to understand them. I dont know if its lack of punctuation but I just thought that I would point that out.

That being said. I agree with David. But I dont drift so I could care less. No one here practices my favorite type of racing so... it makes me sad :sadwave:

On another note- something just came into mind concerning the drift spot. Ill post it into another thread since I would hijack this one.

If your curious, here is a Link (http://fortmyersracing.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3848&hl=)

the Fanboy calling was Igor and I just joking guys. I don't care if you just heard of drifting for the first time this mourning. i'm not that kind of person. Autocross is one of the best ways to familiarize youself with car control used for drifting.

anybody that is willing to take drifting seriously AIM is ELIMENTOOL or call me at 239-465-1607

i can respect that, i dont really even know the guy.

i never really was good either, i couldnt really get better, i had the power....but with stock suspension, no power steering, and no LSD, it was practically just sliding.

although i did get some pretty cool combos on video.
