Went 2 the track with some friend (91mkII & 86fox)

[02vortec]

Got off work last night @ 6pm and headed straight to the track.

was about 60degrees when i got there.
track was hooking really good.

i heated up my "tire" every run. on some of the burnouts it would spin both which was weird..... i dunno....


the set-up is the same as before-
rearmount turbo 11psi intercooled
shit kit/vette servos
lakewood traction bars
falken ziex tires (275-60-17 on the rear)
heavy ass wheels
march underdrive pullies
not tuned
open diffrential
3.42 gears-
FULL WEIGHT
valve covers never been off the truck

first run-
8.58 @ 81.5mph (2.01 60')
Second-
8.54 @ 80mph (1.99 60')
Third-
8.7 @ 80mph (2.11 60')

so it runs pretty consistant and those runs where made within 5 to 8 minutes of each other.... the track doesnt get busy until about 8:30.


then i let it sit for about 30 minutes and pushed it through the staging lanes-

engine temps @ 170 f* on all the next runs

Run 4- heated up the tires staged with 2pi, cut a good light (.60 r/t)
1/8th mile- 8.37
1/8th mph- 80mph

run 5- same thing as above
1/8th mile - 8.50
1/8th mph- 80.2mph

Run 6- same
1/8th mile- 8.34 (i think that this is correct-i dont have the time slips with me- i ran an 8.3 twice though)

1/8th mph- 80 (once again not to sure since i dont have my time slips with me


so 8.3's are really close if not in the 12's.........

so steve.......... i guess i dont have enough power 2 run 15's now ehhh???????

Nice times. According to the 1/8 time x 1.555 formula, you hit a 12.9 (based off the 8.34 run); but it would be nice to see how you could do at BMP since it's an actual 1/4 track and there wouldn't be any speculation involved.

considering i did his n20 in 30 minutes and it was fine before he yanked on the switch and fried the line im sure i did fine. i have many years on you automotive wise, good luck breaking 13's, blazer boy.

mmmkay because when you got there...... you apparently had to call someone to ask for help because you didnt know how to wire the damn thing which showed....

btw why would you take only 30minutes to install a nitrous set-up??? its kind of important.......... guess thats why your other motor blew up ehh?

i think with a consistent 8.3 you'll be able to get a high 12.9 i'm sure you can get into the 12's if you get a good reaction time and 60ft. i'm actually going to the track for once either next week or the week after i'm getting some new tires for the rears and my underdrive pulley should be coming soon. i'm looking to hit at least an 8.4 i've only been there twice and maybe ran 10 runs all together and my best time was an 8.69 trapping like 81 or 82 cant remember. but i shifted kind of weak because the previous time i was there i was launching at 5500 - 6000 rpms and shattered my diff and i was launching at 4k during my best run and my diff mounts are crap and you can feel the shit bouncing around when i take of so i kind of feather it out of the whole, but i got new diff bushings for 75$ and i should be getting a traction kit sometime soon since my tax return will come back next week it should be about 1k$ so its all going into my suspension. once i get the diff bushings, underdrive pulley, and traction kit on i think i'll be able to make it into the high 12's. if i take my tax return and decide to get a my fuel system and a power fc i'd be in the 12's for sure probably mid 12's but i dont think i'm going that way i just want my suspension set up nice. but from what i've heard from darrell the powerfc and fuel system would put me up somewhere around 350hp i think? i cant remember he has all that i'm not sure if his is tuned yet, but if it is i'd love to see what he runs at immokalee just so i can get an idea.

When you say "Built your car" wouldnt that include the motor?

I know i know i shouldnt be talking shit b/c i drive an overly large miata and all but you didnt build that motor you said "Here MR.Shop guy build me a motor" soo when you take credit for "BUILDING" your car you might want to leave out the important part like the "MOTOR"..

car has been sprayed dipshit, and i did build this motor, i paid t&l to assemble it, and its been apart since i have had it. I also built the other motor from nothing, pistons and all, and hell no you fucks will pwn me in the auto x haha.
I wanna give that stuff a try in a different car like a mini, it looks hella fun.

your combo works nice for what he had and sounds nice as well. You got ripped off to make it run right, i could have done it at immokalee for ya, and we were planning on doing it before he sold it.

i've only been able to put on subframe connectors on since i got the car...i was going to put a 2 stage nitrous system on it but gotta get it runnin near perfect before i cold do that and now its out of the budget... money ::owned:: me

but once it is runnin up to par i'd like to see how many cars you would get ME by.

The blazer is cool because its different and out of the hundreds of kids I've met in this scene who said they were going to do something he is the only one who actually went out and did it.
