I went to the test and tuned on saturday @ moroso to get ready for sundays event....... average runs where 13.5's to 13.7's....
truck held up very well....

on sunday i went and ran in the event (NHRA import nationals) in the E.T. 2 class which was all cars 13.99 and faster.

my best time of the weekend came in class qualifieing.....
this was on 14psi with a 93/100octane mix in the gas tank...
i didnt use the methanol cause it caused me to go incredibly rich so im gonna wait till i can get HPtuners.
1/4 mile E.T.- 13.194
1/4 mile MPH- 98mph
1/8 mile E.T.- 8.198
1/8 mile MPH- 81mph
60'- 1.866
R/T'- .033

it was HOT ALL WEEKEND!

I was running 13.3's to 13.4's pretty consistant.
so my dial in was in the 13.3 to 13.4 range through out the competition.

there where cars in my class- this was all bracket racing so no BS-
i did so well bascially because i had more experience then the competitors.... my best R/T of the weekend was a .007 the rest where all .03x or .02x so thats what got me so far in the competition. plus i dialed back the boost to 10psi to run the 13.4's and 13.5's consistantly.

ran a total of 12 times over the weekend.... so that shows you the reliability of my set-up and its slowest run was a 13.8 im not gonna count the bracket races because i was on the brakes before the end to make sure i didnt break out. so i was running slow times. nice being way out ahead and having the option to slow down.....

i was RUNNER UP @ THE EVENT- won $300

GET THIS SHIT!!!!!
i was runner up BECAUSE..... my dumbass didnt put enough gas in the truck. ran outta fuel @ 1000ft mark on the last run and he caught me...... they had us run the last 3 rounds consecutivly so i couldnt add any fuel or have really much time for cool down. i asked the official if i could have 1 minute to go put a gallon of gas in and he said no so i had to finish it off........ and shitty for me i ran out..... rookie mistake. im gonna start going to alot of bracket races. this event was a huge event and im glad i did so well......

people loved the truck.... no one could find the turbo . and people couldnt beleive that it is daily driven and its a bone stock motor and a ONE TIRE FIRE.......

had fun...... gonna go to bradenton ASAP prolly this next thursday for T&T.

truck can hit 12's no problem...just need a cool or cold night. it was hitting third and bogging really bad. i need to move the 2nd to 3rd shift back 200rpm or so and just tune it in general.

next mods-
HPTUNERS 3bar SD and tune for methanol
3000stall w/ tranny cooler
Ford 8.8"
Air to water intercooler

will easily put me in the mid 12's

this is to steve........... for saying i wont even make it outta the 14's with my trap speed of 83 and also said i couldnt cut a 1.8 60' ????....... well to bad bucko.... i was trapping 81 in the 1/8th and still running a 13.1 so.... looks like once again you made your self look stupid when telling EVERYONE HOW SLOW THE BLAZER IS..... lol 14's would be hard...........

thanks man.... sorry if i woke you up.

yeah...... that was stupid.... i put 2 gallons in before we started.... went through the first 3 rounds and thought i could make it another.... i could...... but the thing was we had no time in between the next 3 rounds after that.....

Nice. Truck is impressive. I love the way it looks, and sounds. its Badass.

But why are you starting shit with steve again? You would have made him look stupid if you were humble about it. Now it just points out how much less of a person you are to claim you won the big dick contest, to which the bottom line is the camaro will still rape the boosted blazer, so you cant talk much.

its a friendly little scuffle. you can come in here and be gandi and do what you wish. you wont change me or steve. i just did it because i love he talked so much about how it was so slow and blah blah blah blah......... alot of people do that infact. not on this forum but alot do and i love throwing it right back in peoples faces. steve and i dont hate each other or anything its just the blazer is anomalie(sp?????) and its not gonna conform to the basic rules of .... a car runs this fast in the 1/8th so it must run this fast in the 1/4..... its a truck with a truck engine.

btw. please tell me where i said the blazer was faster... I HAVE NEVER SAID THAT because im not dumb enough to say that... and do you wanna look @ build sheets..... or i can just point out @ how stock the blazer really is and i cut 3 seconds of the factory 1/4 mile time. the camaro on the other hand is a BUILT CAR........ i hope to god its faster then my BRICK.

also what camaro..... i didnt know steve had a camaro anymore....... o wait he doesnt.....

actually when i hit third it bogged really bad..... that cost me @ least a tenth and a couple mph...... its shifting to high....

once it gets a solid tune with methanol i should pick up @ least another 15 to 20whp with a good tune and getting the a/f down some, putting speed density on it, and tuning with methanol should yeild another 20+whp chunk of power for the blazer....

then throw a 12-bolt rearend, 3000stall, headers/y-pipe, and A2W intercooler and a full slick on the truck and should have a low 12 second time slip on my hands.

1997MKIV you got a pm :D

basically its nice to add fuel to the fire where it can be added, kid needs more motivation to prove everyone wrong, so i gave it to him...

back when i was 15 before i got my car and began what he is doing to his, modded cars did not roll around, nor were as common. the fastest car at mariner was a damn ls1 corvette some kid had. So we all aimed for that. By senior year i had the fastest thing, with my n20 camaro, and back then low 12's were fast for a street car, shit since then has taken a huge jump and evolved really quickly. Power to him, he needs to prove me wrong and get an 11 out of it so I can really see what it has in it.

I did take it to the track before i sold it with a bottle, and im not going to release what the car ran because it would stir up alot of shit. It was right on the money with what i thought it would run, and we will leave it at that. set a goal, and reach it. Thats what I did, but dont expect someone to not criticize you, because it will happen.

fmr is still weak cuz you cant speak your mind, but its more bs to read when i get home from work, so whatever.

mission accomplished for now. next goal is low 12's on stock bottom end

steve i get enough shit from my own kind (s-series and blazers) that it you where just a small part in it. none of them can beleive its a stock cam or stock bottom end.... they all just suck @ life with there gay ass powerdyne superchargers...

plan is-
Ford 8.8" or GM 12-bolt (same damn thing)
M.T. Drag radials
EFIlive Speed density tuning
Tune with methanol
3000stall converter w/ tranny cooler
All billet servos
Aluminum radiator
LS1 fans
Shorty headers w/ 2.5" y-pipe to 3" piping going into turbo
HX35 or HX40 turbocharger

should put me in the 365 to 375whp range..... run race gas @ that level just for safety purposes.... 400whp is the limit on stock bottom end.... so im gonna have to do it in the first 60' to get into the low 12's......

pull the oil pan, just jack the motor up and re torque the rod bolts, to make sure you dont spin a bearing, because at what you are doing now im sure you have put some strain on it.

17 mph on the back half? Aerodynamics are kicking your ass or that turbo is choking out up top. What turbine/housing is on that thing again? Congrats on the times, it always feels nice to run better than you thought you would. I remember the second time I ever took the car to the track, I only wanted a 13.5 and I left with a 12.9 slip.

turbo is a t3/t04e 60trim garrett. i dont know the specs. the compressor housing is a 60mm housing. the turbine housing i beleive its a low .5X. its great for the stock torque converter.....

the truck was hitting third and bogging really bad. going 10.0:1 rich.... so a good tune on the truck will help the MPH out considerably. hopefully 6 to 7mph. since i will be tuned with methanol.
