(sorry, no pics)
So I did some offroading today since I can't go tomorrow. The Cambodian Mobile handled beautifully.
Started with this badass trail that ran between a canal a housing development fence in estero, off three oaks. It was a lot of fun. Had elevation changes, mud, water, and a cool concrete dam kind of thing that I crossed.
Next went out to east bonita and explored this trail that I shit you not looked like the plains of Africa. Then we (me, brentt and ben) hit some trails going through the woods. We came upon a family of Mexicans bumper deep in a pit of mud and water. They were in a 2 wheel drive stock f150. I offered to pull them out so we hooked em up and ripped them out. They thanked us in what little English they knew. There talepipe was submerges so they had to leave the car running or it wouldn't have started. They would have been screwed if we didn't find them.
After that we came by my house for some dinner.
We weren't done yet. It was getting late but we decided to check out Cook & Brown. It's extremely flooded right now. Went all the way down the dirt road to the "no trespassing" and took a left. We stayed out of the big water and stuck to the edges of the puddles. I went through some mud mixed with grass and to my surprise there is a little stump sticking out. I was going at almost wide open throttle to avoid getting stuck and I couldn't stop in time and plowed right into it. I though it bent my control arm but luckily it only broke my fog light. There suspention on that thing is beefy and handles the hit pretty well. The great thind is that the fat front sway bar runs right infront of the control arms for added protection... that probably what saved me. It still drives straight and smooth so I'm not worried.
I'm so mad I didn't bring me camera, we started in estero at 3pm and left cook & brown as the sun was setting. Good day overall, didn't seriously damage anything (other than a foglight and maybe a scratch or two from tree limbs) and had a lot of fun. Good times :SolidStraight:
